Relaxing In The Bath

That Monday morning feeling has lasted all week. You’ve spend all day getting screamed at by your boss and it’s been downhill from there from the puddle you stepped in on the way home to the empty fridge you saw when you did get home. What you need is a long relaxing soak in a lovely warm bath. If you’ve had that bad a day you really should just try and make and hour just for yourself to relax and unwind.

Make sure your bathroom is the right environment for a bath. Try and get it tidy and straight. White and blue bathroom suites are more calming and relaxing which is why these are the most popular colours. As silly as it may sound there is an art behind running the perfect bath. After all you’ve got gels and liquids as well as salts and powders. Give the bath a quick clean before you do anything else. There’s no point in running relaxing baths if you’re sat in dust and dirt. Pour any gels and liquids in with the warm water. Try and pour it from the top of the taps So it folds into the water like a water fall. All the scents from the gels and liquids then get mixed naturally with the water to release the aroma.

When it comes to powders and salts these need to dissolve fully otherwise it will be uncomfortable. The warmer the water the better they’ll fizz and dissolve. You don’t want to be enjoying your bath and be able to feel grit from the soap. Don’t forget a few scented candles and some peaceful music. Lavender is great for relaxation and will make you sleep much easier too. When it comes to the music always opt for something you don’t normally listen to like pan pipes or chill out music.

How And Why Binural Beats Work

Sound waves of different frequencies are emitted through seperated headphones , or binaural tones, that have simply an amazing positive effect on the your mood and thinking processes. But do binaural beats work as many vehemently claim ? Some have lauded binaural beats as new technology or some sort of recent discovery but they actually have been studied for a couple hundred years and are being successfully used in medical application, psychological inducing various states of consciousness, reaching the subconscious mind , to meditating to developing new talents.

Binaural beats are when two sounds or tones that are rather close in pitch, but not identical, are played separately into each ear via headphones to create one, seemingly single sound. The auditory phenomenon of binaural beats was actually discovered around 1839 in studies by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove.

But, little else was said on the subject after then until finally in the early 1970s when an article entitled “Auditory Beats in the Brain” by Gerald Oster was published in Scientific American that offered insightful information and new findings based on recent laboratory research on the subject.

Oster was convinced binaural beats were able to have a direct effect on the brain and could be an extremely useful tool for cognitive and neurological purposes as well as being a potentially effective way of diagnosing certain medical conditions. But, do binaural beats work for everyone automatically or are there things you can do to ensure you will make the most of binaural beat technology?

Binaural Beats and Entrainment

Brainwaves, which are the electrical activity within the brain, operate or travel through the brain on varying frequencies and cycles of frequencies throughout the day depending on your state of consciousness at the time. “Tuning” the brain by listening to sounds of certain frequencies, or brain entrainment, may bring about the ideal state for meditation, relaxation, self hypnosis, or simply for personal development.

Besides relaxation, many say they have found great relief from stress, tension and anxiety and have used the technology for health purposes such as stopping smoking and losing weight

A separation of one’s conscious and subconscious minds is also reported while listening to entrainment cds and a deep feeling of sedation is rather common. Some people also say they experience visual “hallucinations” in the form of seeing bright, vivid colors and patterns. Because of all this, it is highly advisable to not drive or operate machinery while experiencing the incredibly relaxing effects of binaural beats.

Would A Bike Ride Make It Better?

When the stress of the week starts to build up and cause you to lose productivity in the office a motorcycle ride is a great way to refresh yourself so that you can be productive once again and complete your work.

The motorcycle ride is an excellent way to get away from the office if you are having a bad day. It can help you to think more clearly. A short break on the bike can allow you to get even more work done.

When you head out for the ride, you must not forget the correct safety equipment. One of the best way to protect yourself is by wearing your leathers. They protect your body in the event of a crash and help you to stay warm. Brown boots help to prevent injuries to the feet during the ride and are an important part of your equipment.

While many riders complain about the helmet law, the truth of the matter is that a helmet will protect your head in the event of a crash. A black helmet that includes a face shield can look great and protect you from flying objects as well. Any time you are involved in a crash, it is important to replace that helmet to prevent injury in a second crash. The helmet is only designed to absorb the shock from one crash and the protective lining is crushed and cannot be reused.

If you have the right safety equipment, you will also want to be sure that your bike is in good condition as well. Be sure that you check the tires. They need to be inflated correctly and they need to have enough tread to keep you on the road. Brakes should stop your bike and not pull to one side or the other.

If you really can’t get away from the office and must be back at a certain time for a client appointment, do not forget your leather watch. You do not want to make the day more stressful by missing an important appointment.

The bike ride can be a great way to cool down and prepare yourself for the rest of the day. It can get you away from the persons that are causing your stress. Once you have had some time away, you may be more able to deal with the situation at hand. On the motorcycle, you can create your own world in order to come back and complete the task at hand.
