That Monday morning feeling has lasted all week. You’ve spend all day getting screamed at by your boss and it’s been downhill from there from the puddle you stepped in on the way home to the empty fridge you saw when you did get home. What you need is a long relaxing soak in a lovely warm bath. If you’ve had that bad a day you really should just try and make and hour just for yourself to relax and unwind.
Make sure your bathroom is the right environment for a bath. Try and get it tidy and straight. White and blue bathroom suites are more calming and relaxing which is why these are the most popular colours. As silly as it may sound there is an art behind running the perfect bath. After all you’ve got gels and liquids as well as salts and powders. Give the bath a quick clean before you do anything else. There’s no point in running relaxing baths if you’re sat in dust and dirt. Pour any gels and liquids in with the warm water. Try and pour it from the top of the taps So it folds into the water like a water fall. All the scents from the gels and liquids then get mixed naturally with the water to release the aroma.
When it comes to powders and salts these need to dissolve fully otherwise it will be uncomfortable. The warmer the water the better they’ll fizz and dissolve. You don’t want to be enjoying your bath and be able to feel grit from the soap. Don’t forget a few scented candles and some peaceful music. Lavender is great for relaxation and will make you sleep much easier too. When it comes to the music always opt for something you don’t normally listen to like pan pipes or chill out music.
