Anxiety disorder or panic attack? Are you suffering from one or both? They are both the same thing really; it’s just two ways to describe them.
You can suffer the same group of symptoms from either of these conditions. Whether your symptoms are really bad or are a bit on the mild side. You will know about it if you get an attack.
Whether you call them panic attacks or an anxiety disorder. It’s important to get control as soon as possible. Anything that can lessen these symptoms.
I know how bad these symptoms can get and I know how urgent the need is for some help. Lots of different prescription drugs are available to treat these attacks. It’s vital that you see your doctor soon. There may be another underlying problem that needs identifying.
If you are sure you have a panic or anxiety disorder. My advice would be to opt for a non drug treatment. There are a few reasons why I would say that.
For starters, you would avoid potentially harmful side effects. The other reason is that medication programs are mostly only short term things. Most doctors would be wary of having you on long term medication.
It’s a certainty that most doctors would have you stop the drugs sooner rather than later. What’s going to happen if/when you stop taking medication? Indeed that’s a very good point.
It may come as welcome news that there are treatments and techniques out there that work. And there are no drugs or medication needed. No drugs, pills, potions or black magic. Nothing like that.
These other techniques came about because other sufferers beat their problems and were eager to share. These techniques teach you to recognise when an attack is looming. And then quickly stamping down on them and halting an attack before it starts.
Your choice now is this…live with your panic attacks and anxiety disorder. Or take your life back and get back to normal.
