How To Develop Intuition

Developing intuition starts by realizing you have it already. Intuition is just your mind using more than what you are consciously aware of. But can you really depend on these hunches? If so then how can it be improved?

Developing Intuition In Three Steps

1. Recognize it and encourage it.

2. Study it to make it more trustworthy.

3. You need to feed it facts that it can base hunches on.

A chess champion will admit that a computer can calculate chess positions many moves further ahead than he can. His experience allows him to combine analysis with a “sense” of which move is best. Try to find areas in your own life where you intuitively operate.

Of course, intuition is also a warning device. An example of looking at facts and situations, drawing a hunch occurred  when a husband and wife took a trip. They felt that they shoudn’t get on that bus in Ecuador.  Crowded busses are prime locations for pickpockets. A drunk man was bumping into people repeatedly. The didn’t consciously pay attention, but these things registered in their minds, warning them. They felt “something isn’t right here.” When they  ignored their  intuition, and were robbed.

Possibly you know of someone who has these feelings all the time, maybe you’ve experienced them. Just by identifying such situations and confirming or recognizing some pattern trains your brain to see more of this in the future. The same process will happen if you watch for your intuition – you’ll start to see more of it.

Unfortunately, a strong hunch can be for irrelevant reasons too. It is sometimes difficult to trust and depend on your intuition even when people learn to recognize it and encourage  it.

Take A Closer Look at Your Intuition

Start questioning your hunches. If we had asked why we felt bad about that bus, it may have occurred to us, “Oh yeah, crowded busses are a bad idea – we know that.” Study your strong feeling about that taxi, and you might say, “Oh, it’s just my fear of yellow taxis.” Get in the habit of paying attentionto and studying your intuitive feelings.

Where does your intuition work best? If you’re always right about your intuitive stock picks, give a little credence to them. On the other hand, if your hunches about people are usually wrong, don’t follow them. Just pay attention more, and you’ll be developing intuition about your intuition.

Give Your Intution Good Information

Your skill, knowledge and experience determine the potential effectiveness of your intuition. No weak chess player will never intuitively beat that computer, like Kasparov can. Learn enough about a subject, before expecting good hunches about it – or before trusting the hunches. Work in the area you want more intuition in. When enough information is in your mind, it will go to work for you with or without your conscious participation, so feed it well.

Recognize your intuition and you’ll have hunches and ideas more often. These steps outlined are a simple formula for developing intuition.

The Guiding Light Of Your Mind

        Do you think that the mind can really have an adverse effect on who you are and what it does to your physical self?

        There have been numerous stories supporting this claim – from the mild to the ridiculous to even dangerous situations.

        Here is an example: An individual who is so engrossed in playing violent video games, and watch disturbing news on television could develop a negative attitude in life.

        And then there are those people who take what they watch, read or play to extremes. An episode of CSI: Las Vegas a couple of seasons ago shows a group of young men and women who immortalized the video games they were horridly into by doing exactly what they had played: earning points by gunning down a couple of people without any reason at all.

        And then there was an incident that happened at Virginia Tech in the US. A loner and an avid violent video game player killed some of his teachers and students and wounded a couple of others at their state school.

        But let us not forget the emotions that can be brought out from positive experiences as well. A joyful person is a person who looks at a glass half full rather than half empty.

        In relation to the mind, do all of these have anything to do with unlimited energy? Does the mind have something to do with how energy is released from the body? With exercise and other relaxation techniques, it’s quite obvious and is even directly related.

        But in connection with the mind, how is this possible? If you’re angry with the character in the story you are reading and then you take it into action, does this bring out unlimited energy in you? If so, what kind of energy and does it help you or not?

        If the violent video game influenced you so much and you do want to imitate what you have just played, what kind of energy does it bring out of you? Can energy, then, stimulate or enhances the brain to bring out the best, or the worst in you?

Many people think that we actually only use about 10% of our mind’s total mind power. 10%. Can you think about what it would be like if you could actually access the 90% that remains dormant? That might produce incredible results, indeed.

It’s been thought by scientists for a long time that those with extrasensory and psychic powers in fact have these powers because they can access their minds to a fuller extent than most of the rest of us can. It’s believed that these people or either born with this increased ability, or they were able to develop their mindpower later on.

Your subconscious is very tuned in to pictures, so visualizing yourself as successful in having everything you’ve ever wanted can help make it come true. If you want new car, visualize a new car. If you want a new house, visualize a new house. Making a scrapbook of pictures that contain things you want can help give you a point of manifestation to focus on. Consistent visualization can help things truly appear in your life that you want.

You can also visualize, incidentally, that you have psychic powers. For example, visualize yourself using telepathy to communicate. Or, visualize yourself with the ability to foresee the future, or to participate in remote viewing. If you use mind power in a focused and practiced fashion, whatever you want to happen will eventually occur.
