There was a study conducted by Dr. Blaslotto at the University of Chicago, where he split people into three groups and tested each group on how many free throws they could make.
After this, he had the first group practice free throws every day for an hour. The second group just visualized themselves making free throws. The third group did nothing.
After 30 days, he tested them again.
The first group improved by 24%. The second group improved by 23% without touching a basketball! The third group did not improve which was expected.
Visualization is an often-taught mental rehearsal technique in sports but it can also be used in our daily life. If you have stage fright, an important meeting or a big thing coming up and you don’t know how it’s going to go, you can create an experience of it in your mind – a successful one. For your mind, whatever you imagine becomes an experience that your mind taps into.
We’re not condoning being lazy and not practicing. What we’re trying to drive home is imagine what you could do if you implemented both practice and the mental rehearsal technique of visualization. The sky is the limit.
Tips on How to Use Visualization to manifest all the stuff your heart desires.
First, I get clear about what I want to manifest. Through meditation I put myself into a very relaxed state of mind, and I implant my new intention by concentrating on it for at least 60 seconds. I use all emotions and feelings, it becomes so real in my head as if it was really happening. I breathe deeply. What really helped me was getting into a very deep meditative state. The guy who’s really good at guiding you to get into that state of counsciousness is Gerald O’Donnel and his remote viewing techniques.
In his remote viewing course he allows you to become a master at generating your own fate and future.
You need to involve Sight, Sound, and Feeling to really gain from the benefits of visualization.
Now, there are some important things to consider when visualizing. If you just picture yourself having an important meeting as if it was a movie, you probably won’t improve as much as you could.
You need to visualize everything out of your eyes (in the 1st person). You have to be there, right with that person in that room, park or restaurant or office. Perceiving the goal. Hearing the noise.
As you speak, you should FEEL your emotions. You should SEE people’s reaction to your words. You should sense your body language. You should experience all the possible feelings or thoughts that might go through your head and make sure they are as positive – this is your reality and this is where you dictate how you want things to unfold. Be daring, be brave, outspoken, witty, friendly, loving – whatever you think you have difficulty with now. This is the stage on which you can practice these skills now.
Once, you do this, you’re guaranteed to see results.
