The Stop Stuttering Center

The How To Stop Stuttering Centre was established in 1996 by Steve Hill. Steve is a person who developed a stutter when he was a four year old boy and who managed to eradicate his stutter when he was aged twenty-two. Steve states:

“To achieve fluency is far from easy and anybody who is looking for some sort of magic potion or magic pill that they merely swallow to enable them to “stop stuttering” will be left disappointed. Those people however who are willing to work hard and who are determined to kill their stuttering demons will be able to achieve the dream that is fluency”.

Steve mainly helps people by running one-to-one speech courses. The courses are held in Birmingham, England. These stuttering courses are held over a 2, 3 or 5 day period with each day lasting approximately three and a half hours.

Steve also offers alternative stuttering therapies to the speech course. These therapies are more what you would call “self-help stuttering therapy” and include an e-book, a DVD and an audio book. All of these products include full descriptions of each of the techniques that are required to achieve fluency.

Steve has helped people from many different nations including India, Pakistan, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, the USA and Australia.

Steve has been featured in the media on a regular basis over the last thirteen years and has said that he is looking forward to helping more people who have a stutter or stammer in the years to come.

It is suggested that out of all of the people that suffer with stuttering there are three times as many men as women that have this form of speech impediment. The stuttering centre in the UK helps all people to achieve fluency whether they are adults or children, women or men.

Most of us think of our dreams as a mysterious part of the way that our minds work � a natural occurrence which we can control no more than we can the weather. These trips taken by our subconscious while our bodies are at rest are thought by most of us as something which is not truly understood, much less within our power to shape. However, anyone can learn dream control and start deciding what happens in their dreams. This is possible thanks to the technique of lucid dreaming.

What exactly is lucid dreaming though? How can you start using dream control? Are there benefits associated with being able to sit in the director�s chair for your dreams? In this article, we�ll look at how dream control works and what it can do for you.

What Is Dream Control?

When we use lucid dreaming, we can use the ability of dream control. Lucid dreaming begins with the awareness that you are dreaming while you are in the middle of a dream. Once you know that you are actually dreaming, you can start deciding how the events of your dream will unfold.

People who suffer from nightmares frequently can find relief with dream control. Once they learn to use this powerful technique, they can banish their nightmares and get the restful sleep they need.

Common Ways of Bringing About Lucid Dreaming

A very successful way to reach lucid dreaming uses binaural audio, with this you listen to 2 different types of frequencies simultaneously, for the purpose of altering the brain waves, to bring on a relaxed stage, and also the rapid eye movement (REM) stage of sleep, which is where the lucid dreaming occurs.

Self-hypnosis and meditation were the methods used to induce lucid dreaming before binaural audio recordings became available on DVD and CD formats. Self hypnosis and meditation both work to achieve lucid dreaming, but they can take a while to master, making them not necessarily the best choice if you�d like to start lucid dreaming sooner rather than later.

There have been other approaches to lucid dreaming developed by experts over the years, they worked in the fields of psychology and science to do this. Aside from the way you get there, the end result is the same, training your mind as it is asleep, to know when it is dreaming.

This all starts while we are fully conscious, you have to have a key to use, as far as what to say or do, while you are dreaming, and that signals your brain that you are dreaming, and then permits you to control the rest of the dream.

You do this by just stating to yourself, before falling asleep, that very soon you will be in the middle of dreaming, and in a dream you are going to say a word or phrase, or act in a specific manner, that will let you know that you are in a dream.

This method of learning dream control was developed by scientist Dr. Stephen LaBerge and is known as MILD (sort for mnemonic induction of lucid dreams). This technique can let you control the course of events in your dreams � you are only limited by your imagination!

Keeping a dream diary is a good way to train yourself to use dream control. Keep a notebook and pen by your bedside so that when you awake from a dream you can write down anything and everything which you remember. After keeping your dream journal for a few week, you may find yourself having a dream which you have written down over again � except this time, you�ll be in the director�s chair for the experience!

Conquer the dragons of your nightmares, go to exotic locations, investigate magical lands, talk to any person your desire, and escape from worldly bonds. By controlling your dreams, everything can be a possibility, and gives us the ability to reign over our imaginary worlds we dream about nightly, and totally control what is going to happen.

However, keep in mind that you can have too much of a good thing, even dream control. Experts in the field have said that our dreams can be a way of our subconscious minds trying to tell us something important. It�s important to give yourself a few nights off from lucid dreaming now and then, as amazing of an experience as discovering dream control can be.

One Easy Way To Become More Tolerant To People Around You

I’m an avid reader, and there is an entire library of books that I have finished by now =). However, there is one book which stood out for me. The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. Its an easy read but with powerful impact i.e only if you want to include the teachings of this book in your life!

Let me warn you, you need a very strong will in order to adopt the Four Agreements from this book – but if you can begin to live your life with these agreements, I can personally guarantee you that the transformation in your life will be pleasantly astonishing. You will see the drama of hell fade away right before your very eyes. Instead of living in a dream of hell, you will be creating a new dream – your personal dream of heaven.

I have read this book multiple times and every time I read it, it brings some great new ideas in my life. In this post I’m going to cover the most important agreements out of the four agreements, according to me.

Don’t Take Any­thing Personally

This agreement really struck a chord with me, especially the last line of Ervin Seals quotation “It is the habit of feeling hurt because of what other do or do not do and what they say or do not say.” I find that I am especially challenged with this agreement.

Many of us can sometimes be so easily affected by the opinions of others – not that it’s lasting but we do feel a physical and emotional response to negative and positive encounters with others – though not just with anyone. I think it tends to come more from the people who we appreciate in some way.

To give you guys a practical feel of the this agreement, I will now intentionally put you in spot light by making you go through a small exercise with the help of the following example. Here, I would confront you a little bit. Most of us are working or have worked in an office. We have either encountered it or heard about of the classic line when biz people screw you over and than say “Don’t take it personally, it’s just business!”. Rrrrrriiiight !!

Now I want you to close your eyes and imaging a situation in past when something similar to this happened with you or with someone you know. How did you/they would have responded? What were your/their feelings in that exact moment? If this scene happens again now, would you be able to practice this agreement? Would you get affected with what others say/do to you? What would be your step to ensure that the the bad feelings dont get you?

Told you. It would be little challenging =) Relax guys, don’t run away. In working with this agreement I can see that we will be learning to deepen our love and acknowledgment of ourself (and therefore of others as well)……I’m ready for that. Are you?

Benefiting From the Principles of Abundance

What exactly is meant by the term ‘manifesting abundance’? In all likelihood you’ve probably heard many people say that life is what you make of it. Perhaps your own parents told you that on several occasions when they were trying to boost your confidence. In fact, even that voice inside our heads tells us that this is indeed true. Unfortunately however, there are just so many people out there who simply refuse to take any notice of what that voice is trying to tell them, and as such, they only have themselves to blame if they’re not happy with their life.

At some point in our lives, we have all heard someone say that we are the masters of our own destiny. We can make our life just as we want it to be. It is within you to manifest abundance, only you can manifest abundance in your own life.

The simple truth is that the reason that the things in your life are the way they are is because you either want things to be this way or that you have not realized that you have the ability to change it by manifesting whatever you want. Anything in your life you are not happy with has almost certainly been put that way by you, not by anyone else. No one but you can create your reality.

The sooner you realize that you are to blame, and that you have carved out our own destiny, the sooner you’ll be in a position where you’ll have enough power to bring about a change. This is because you do have the ability to manifest abundance in your life, and you can start right now simply by changing the way you think.

The most powerful things you have are your thoughts. You create the life you want by the way you think and how you think. All those worrying thoughts of how to pay the bills only creates more bills. When you spend time worrying about money, you only create more money problems for yourself. If you only focus on the bad things in your relationship, you only create more problems within the relationship.

Instead, start to think about the positive things you have in your life. This is the first step to manifesting abundance. Focus on the good things to start with. Think of even the little things; for instance, you have a home to go to, food on your table and so on. If you even have this, you already have a lot to be thankful for. Once you can be grateful for the things you have, you can begin to shift your focus outwards to the good things you want to bring into your life.

There is no point to blaming anyone else for your circumstances. Your life is your own and it is largely if not entirely the product of your own thought processes. Perhaps you want happiness, success or wealth. However, if these are not the things that you focus your thoughts on, they are not what will come to you.

As an illustration, try one of the thought experiments which follow. These will show you the power that your thoughts have. When you change the way that you think about life, you will change your life. You have to stop worrying about money, especially about having enough money or wanting more. Don’t think about any of these things at all. What you should focus on instead is what you already have – think about how you are financially well off enough to pay for the things that you have now.

Another experiment is this: start to think; not only that, believe that you have plenty of financial resources, no matter what you may have thought before. It will take some effort to do this, since you have to keep those old patterns of worrying about money out of your mind. In order to manifest abundance, this is the key – you have to genuinely think that you already have everything you need.

Remember, positive attracts positive, and negative attracts negative. If you spend your time thinking about the good things in your life, you’ll end up attracting more good things, and this of course will mean that you can begin improving the life you have. Above all, you need to realize that you are the only person in the world that can manifest abundance in your life.
