Skillful Strategies For Dealing With High Work Worries

Humans tend to over analyze and worry a lot; but when you’re running your own fitness business anxiety can be a less than welcome companion. When you’re the lone person accountable for every department of your business, you begin to think that time may be against you!

Believe me, it’s totally normal to feel this way as a business owner – even steel-eyed CEOs have felt overwhelmed at some point in their careers. But you need to be certain that your anxiety isn’t negatively spinning your business management skills out of control. Here’s what to do when you start to feel overwhelmed and need to get your sanity back:

Know How To Prioritize.
Running from one thing to the next without a plan is an inefficient use of time, and can add to your stress levels. Next time you’re exhausted by a full plate, try this tip: list everything that you need to do, and then rank them from most important to least important. Get the most crucial work done first, then continue with the rest. Items at the bottom of the list probably don’t need to be completed.

Put Your Phone On Hold.
With all the toys and gadgets we have today, you can spend a lot of time on the phone, checking emails, posting on social media sites, and otherwise talking to clients, friends and family. Unfortunately, this can eat up your time like nothing else. Schedule specific times during the day to check your email and your phone, and stick to it! Otherwise, you can easily get sidetracked by emails and calls that can wait until later in the day.

Learn How To Say No.
There are times when people take up too much of your time. Avoid the trouble by learning how to say no to high-maintenance work. Your cholesterol will thank you later.

Map Out Your Day.
You’ll be able to orchestrate your day a lot more easily if you make a plan. Do what you can to stick to the schedule as much as possible, and you’ll find your anxiety levels lowering nicely.

As nice as it would be to get rid of worries entirely, it does take a bit of work to get a handle on them, but these tips can make a big difference in releasing stress. Take a few deep breaths, focus, and then things will be a lot less intimidating.
